We need to stop assuming everyone is at the same starting line when it comes to AI. I recently filmed the AI Change Diary with [Personio](https://de.linkedin.com/company/personio), where we broke down a crucial truth - a successful AI rollout relies heavily on HR. Navigating this massive shift requires meeting employees exactly where they are, rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all strategy. To survive this shift, you have to build a culture that doesn't just tolerate change, but actively leans into it. Culture is much more than fancy words printed on posters around the office. If you want people to change how they work, you have to live it every day through your actions, strategy, and leadership. If you’re a leader in the middle of this transition, here is my core advice: • Slow down and focus on the problem - Avoid rushing to adopt tools just because of the hype. You have to deeply understand the actual organisational job you are trying to solve. • Define your strategic goals - Decide whether you want AI to act as an efficiency layer that makes existing processes run faster, or if you want it to fundamentally rewrite what your company does. • Recognise the cost of doing nothing - There is no 'wait and see' approach that ends well here. Both customers and employees are actively looking for companies that confidently invest in this space.
